Hickory Con, the Comic Convention, Is Coming Soon!

If you like comic books, games, and trading cards, then you do not want to miss the largest one day comic convention in the Carolinas! Coming back to the city on May 8, the convention will boast more than 100 dealer, artist and guest tables. You will be able to find all of the comic books that you’ve been looking for, meet artists, and have a fun all around experience. It is a fun and friendly atmosphere, and you won’t be disappointed that you came.

Many people come to the convention in costume, but if that is not your thing, you can always just engage in some people watching. Star Wars and Star Trek fans will also find plenty of merchandise on hand.

Gamers will find that the convention hosts tournaments for a variety of card games including Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Naruto. Some of the tournaments are sanctioned, but you will be able to find tables where you can play a casual, fun game amongst newfound friends as well.

If you are a dealer with wares to sell, you will want to check out the pricing for the tables and see if they still have room. A number of vendors are already confirmed, but you may still be able to get a table for the con.

One of the best parts about the con is that the admission charge is only $3 per person, a pittance compared to some of the other conventions around the country.
